DiversiTech® Condensate Overflow Safety Switch 24Vac (Solid State)

APPLICATIONS

The Asurity™ SOS-1 Condensate Safety Overflow Switch detects clogs in condensate drain lines. By locating the switch away from the normal flow, it can be used to detect drain line overflows, responding by opening the circuit to the compressor contactor. When no water is detected, the SOS is normally closed and allows normal air conditioner operation. Includes a secondary fitting for a primary drain pan.

FEATURES & BENEFITS

• The SOS-1 is a solid-state device designed to detect a clogged condition in a condensate drain line. It works by sensing when the water is near the top of the pipe that it is clamped onto and responds by opening the control circuit to the compressor contactor.
• The SOS-1 has no moving parts, and slime and sludge buildup do not affect operation until a blockage occurs.
• The SOS-1 Switch is triggered by a near full condition of the pipe and is not affected by condensation inside the pipe.
• Cutting into the pipe is not required and does not interfere with normal fluid flow.
• The yellow light on the SOS-1 is triggered by water near the top of the pipe (center sensor plate). When triggered, the yellow light remains on and the unit will remain off until the system is reset by cycling power.
