LucasMilhaupt® SIL-FOS® 5 Brazing Rods Copper to Copper/Brass .125" x .050" x 20" (28 pk)

Item
5-SILVERROD
  • California Prop 65

APPLICATIONS

Sil-Fos 5 is a silver-copper-phosphorus alloy for copper-copper brazing but can also be used to join brass with an appropriate flux (e.g. Handy Flux, Ultra Flux). It is a more cost effective Ag-Cu-P alloy, though it does not penetrate deep joints easily.

FEATURES

• Sil-Fos 5 and was developed primarily for use on copper, but its use has extended to other nonferrous copper base alloys. It is used extensively on refrigeration units, air conditioning apparatus, electrical conductors, copper and brass pipe fittings, and other copper and brass equipment.
• Joins CU to CU (phosphorus serves as flux)
• Joins CU to Brass (flux is recommended)
• Lower cost alternative to higher silver content Ag-Cu-P alloys
• Medium flow
• Made in USA
